The Medina of Tunis
The Medina of Tunis is the old city at the centre of the capital, which our sheets date to the 7th century and call Tunisia's historic heart. UNESCO inscribed it in 1979. Our programmes tour it on foot with a guide, through narrow alleys, ornate doorways and souks.

Visiting the Medina of Tunis
The medina is the old city of Tunis, and the sheets call it Tunisia's historic heart. They date it to the 7th century. The tour is a walking tour, led by your guide, and a medina of this kind is a place of narrow alleys, ornate doorways and busy souks. Most programmes come here on the second day, after Carthage and sometimes after the Bardo Museum. The twelve day journey fits it between Carthage and Sidi Bou Said.
